Cross rivers, explore jungle trails, & taste the freshness of an orange right off the tree as your horse carries you though the citrus orchards. Canter along the Chiquibul Road to the Mennonite Community of Barton Creek, where time has stood still for decades. After a break for lunch the horses will graze as you trade in your saddle for a seat in a canoe. Ancient Mayan civilizations await you in the dark wet underground caverns of the mysterious Barton Creek Cave. Experience the awesome beauty of the high cathedral ceilings, crystal formations and a true feeling of an ethereal Mayan past.
Before rounding up the horses for the return trip, you can swing from a vine into the cool clear water of Barton Creek. (Making a Tarzan-like cry is completely acceptable so don't forget your swimsuit!)
The above tour to the cave is a full day trip including lunch. You can customize your horseback adventure to fit your schedule. Choices include but are not limited to: 2 hour rides, half day rides, moonlight/night rides, and campfire cookouts.
